Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The government will implement a property incentive program in the form of free VAT for the purchase of new houses with prices under IDR 2 billion per unit. This implementation will be effective starting November 2023.

Gabel Management for Trade Sector Wisno Gunawan said that the incentives would increase the growth of the property sector which could then encourage other industries, such as electronic goods.

Abdul Sobur, General Chair of the Indonesian Furniture and Crafts Industry Association, said that the existence of incentives for property is an opportunity for the household furnishings industry to grow.
