10 Artist Candidates Predicted to Pass to Senayan, There are Komeng & Once

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Five days after the 2024 General Election (Pemilu), a number of Indonesian artists who are running as legislative candidates (candidates) are pinning their hopes on the results of the real vote count (real count) of the General Election Commission (KPU). It is known that several artists are running for membership in the People’s Representative Council (DPR RI) and the Regional Representative Council (DPD).

In order to advance to Senayan, artists who joined parties or were independent or did not join parties ran for office in a number of electoral districts (dapil). It is recorded that there are three regions that are the main targets of artist candidates, namely DKI Jakarta, West Java and East Java.

A number of artists who are running as candidates for members of the DPR RI and DPD are Ahmad Dhani, Aldi Taher, Once Mekel, Uya Kuya, Verrel Bramasta, Kris Dayanti, Mulan Jameela, Komeng, and Jihan Fahira.


For your information, these artists are currently fighting for one of the 580 seats together with the legislative candidates who are running from 84 electoral districts. Meanwhile, the number of DPR RI seat quotas for each province and electoral district is different, in accordance with what has been stipulated in Law (UU) Number 7 of 2017 concerning General Elections.

Based on monitoring by CNBC Indonesia, the following is a list of 10 artists who are predicted to qualify as members of the DPR RI and DPD until Monday (19/2/2024).

1. Comment

Senior comedian, Alfiansyah Komeng is the first artist to nominate as a DPD member from the West Java electoral district and is also the temporary highest vote winner. As of 10.04 WIB, Komeng had won 1,806,129 votes or 12.02 percent.

This data is the result of a temporary real count on the KPU website from 78,317 out of 140,457 polling stations or the equivalent of 55.76 percent data.

2. Jihan Fahira

Former soap opera actress, Jihan Fahira is Komeng’s closest rival in fighting for the DPD seat in the West Java electoral district. As of 10.08 WIB, Komeng had won 695,684 votes or 4.63 percent.

This data is the result of a temporary real count on the KPU website from 78,317 out of 140,457 polling stations or the equivalent of 55.76 percent data.

3. Uya Kuya

Uya Kuya is running as a candidate for member of the DPR RI contesting in the DKI Jakarta II electoral district. Based on the temporary real count results, the artist who joined the National Mandate Party (PAN) won 353,910 votes.

This data is the result of a temporary real count on the KPU website from 5,278 out of 9,844 polling stations or the equivalent of 53.62 percent data as of 10.13 WIB.

4. Once Mekel

Similar to Uya Kuya, Once Mekel is running as a candidate for member of the DPR RI in the DKI Jakarta II electoral district. As of 10.14 WIB, the Dewa 19 frontman who joined PDI Perjuangan had won 349,640 votes.

In contrast to Uya Kuya who was in fourth place as the legislative candidate with the most votes in PAN, Once was actually the legislative candidate with the most votes in PDI Perjuangan from the DKI Jakarta II electoral district.

5. Primus Justisio

This former senior actor who is a member of the DPR RI Commission VI is running again as a candidate for member of the DPR RI from the West Java electoral district V. Previously, Jihan Fahira’s husband had served as a member of the DPR RI since 2009.

Based on the temporary real count results, Primus Yustisio won the highest number of votes in PAN from the West Java V electoral district with a total of 54,294 votes. This data comes from 9,199 TPS out of 15,288 or the equivalent of 60.41 percent data as of 10.23 WIB.

6. Nafa Urbach

Actress and singer, Nafa Urbach is running as a candidate for member of the DPR RI in the Central Java VI electoral district. The actor in the film Air Mata di Ujung Sajadah joined the NasDem Party to fight for a seat in Senayan.

Based on the temporary real count results, Nafa Urbach won the highest number of votes from the Nasdem Party from the Central Java VI electoral district with a total of 46,418 votes. This data comes from 10,456 of 13,364 polling stations or the equivalent of 78.24 percent data as of 10.26 WIB.

7. Mulan Jameela

Mulan Jameela is an actress who has become famous since joining Duo Ratu. This member of Commission VII DPR RI is running again as a candidate for member of the DPR RI from the West Java electoral district XI. Based on the temporary real count results, the figure who is a member of the Gerindra Party has won 39,227 votes or second place in the party from the West Java electoral district XI.

This data comes from 11,076 of 15,093 polling stations or the equivalent of 73.39 percent data as of 10.31 WIB.

8. Kris Dayanti

The Indonesian singer, who is familiarly called KD, is a member of Commission IX of the DPR RI who is running again as a member of the DPR RI in the East Java electoral district V. To date, Kris Dayanti, who is a PDI Perjuangan cadre, has won 41,760 votes or the second position with the highest votes in party.

This data comes from 6,806 of 10,824 polling stations or the equivalent of 62.88 percent of data as of 10.35 WIB.

9. Verrel Bramasta

Homeland actor, Verrel Bramasta is a candidate for DPR RI members supported by PAN in the West Java VII electoral district which covers Bekasi, Karawang and Purwakarta regencies.

Based on the temporary KPU real count results, Verrel received the highest number of votes from PAN in the West Java VII electoral district with a total of 13,822 votes. This data comes from 5,986 of 18,000 polling stations or the equivalent of 33.26 percent data as of 10.37 WIB.

10. Hengky Kurniawan

Hengky Kurniawan is a former actor who is quite active in the world of politics. This PDI Perjuangan cadre is the Deputy Regent of West Bandung for the 2018-2021 period who will continue as Regent of West Bandung in 2022-2023.

After resigning as Regent, Hengky ran as a candidate for member of the DPR RI for the West Java II electoral district and competed with fellow Indonesian public figure, Denny Cagur. To date, Hengky has won the most votes in the PDI Perjuangan with a total of 15,748 votes.

This data comes from 6,046 of 16,122 polling stations or the equivalent of 37.50 percent data as of 10.43 WIB.
