10 Cities in Indonesia Roasted by Boiling Hot Weather Today Lifestyle – 3 hours ago

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) recorded that the highest daily maximum temperature in Indonesian territory on October 20 2023 at 07.00 WIB to October 21 2023 at 07.00 WIB reached 37.8 degrees Celsius. This highest maximum temperature was reported by the Central Java Climatology Station.

Then, the second hottest city is Kertajati, Majalengka, West Java. The recorded temperature in this area reached 37.6 degrees Celsius.

Furthermore, the third position of the hottest city in Indonesia is occupied by the South Tangerang region with a maximum temperature of 37.5 degrees Celsius. This figure is based on records from the Center for Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Region II in South Tangerang.

Meanwhile, BMKG explained a number of factors causing hot temperatures in Indonesia. One of them is the effect of the El Nino climate phenomenon which causes the dry season to be more extreme hot and prolonged than the normal dry season.

The anomalous warming of sea temperatures caused by El Nino causes an increase in the lack of cloud formation, resulting in a significant decrease in rainfall in areas south of the equator.
