Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia- The global world, including Southeast Asia, at the 43rd ASEAN Summit in 2023 agreed to accelerate the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as an effort to overcome the impacts of climate change.

Executive Director ESG Coordinator Wholesale Banking UOB Indonesia, Susanto Lukman views the importance of the commitment of the global world, including the Indonesian government, to encourage sustainable development initiatives. In the financial sector, Susanto considers the Green Taxonomy revision study to be important to facilitate the adoption of sustainable finance for green development in Indonesia.

Currently, UOB as a Regional Bank in supporting sustainable development has distributed green financing of SGD 38 billion as of September 2023.
