Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Indonesian National Team (Timnas) will play the second leg of the first round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification by visiting Brunei Darussalam today, Tuesday (17/10/2023).

It is scheduled that the second leg match between Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam will take place at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium, Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam, Tuesday (17/10/2023) at 19.15 WIB.

Despite successfully beating Brunei 6-0 without reply in the first leg at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), the Garuda Squad will still be targeting a landslide victory when playing at home to Brunei.

“We are in good condition and fit. We will do our best for the supporters in Indonesia and those in Brunei,” said Indonesian National Team Coach, Shin Tae-yong, quoted from the official PSSI website, Tuesday (17/10/2023) .

Indonesian national team midfielder, Marc Klok, said that the Red and White Team would continue to play attacking in the second leg even though they had recorded superior results from the home match.

“We practiced a little tactically for the game plan against Brunei, they were very down [lini] behind, in the penalty box, we see how we can penetrate [ke pertahanan] “They can score goals, a little finishing,” said Klok.

It is known, Indonesia bagged six goals in the first leg of the first round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifications in the Asian zone through a hat trick contribution from Dimas Drajad (6′, 71′, and 90+2′), a brace from Ramadhan Sananta (62′ and 67′), and one goal from Rizky Ridho (11′).
