Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Concert Coldplay’s ‘Music of the Spheres World Tour’ Jakarta at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (GBK) finally finished on Wednesday (16/11/2023) evening.

Despite its success in entertaining and creating new memorable memories for tens of thousands of fans, Coldplay’s ‘Music of the Spheres World Tour’ Jakarta is still not free from a series of problems. After the concert, quite a few netizens reported various problems during the concert, especially before entering the concert area, via X (formerly Twitter).

These problems include being cheated by brokers, original tickets that cannot be scanned and have been used by unknown people, disabled spectators who have difficulty accessing the concert, many spectators entering without tickets, and even the concert doors being broken down.

1. Ticket fraud up to IDR 15 billion

All concerts or music festivals in Indonesia are never free from the presence of brokers, including Coldplay’s ‘Music of the Spheres World Tour’ Jakarta. Usually, brokers sell tickets at very expensive prices. Not only that, there are also many brokers who deceive potential buyers by suddenly disappearing when they have made an appointment or providing fake tickets.

Based on search CNBC Indonesia at GBK, brokers at the location sell tickets at very expensive prices. One of them is festival category tickets which are sold for IDR 7 million to IDR 8.5 million, even though the official price from the promoter is IDR 3.5 million.

Apart from Andriani, another X user (@tokoparmo) revealed a case of Coldplay ‘shadow’ ticket fraud worth IDR 15 billion.

“FRAUD [atas nama] GHISCA DEBORA ARITONANG. “Coldplay’s shadow ticket fraudster amounted to Rp. 15 billion by rotating the 100 tickets he had as if he had 8,000 tickets,” wrote @tokoparmo, quoted Thursday (16/11/2023).

“One source said the money had been transferred to a bank in the Netherlands so that it could not be confiscated and not returned,” explained the same account.

2. Double Ticket

To this day, quite a few ticket holders are disappointed because they cannot enter the Coldplay concert area at GBK. In fact, the tickets obtained are the result of ‘war‘ independently in May 2023 and in his own name.

User X (@farahfadhs) admitted that he was not allowed to enter the concert area by the committee because barcodes the ticket he had had been scanned by another spectator, even though the ticket he had was in his personal name.

Not only @farahfadhs, the account owner @masmasaj also admitted that he couldn’t entered the concert area because barcodes Your ticket must be scanned before the entrance gate opens.

3. Disabled Spectators Have Difficulty Entering the Concert

Before the concert, the promoter, PK Entertainment, stated that the Coldplay ‘Music of the Spheres World Tour’ Jakarta concert provided a special entrance for spectators with special needs, such as wheelchair users, crutches, and pregnant women.

“You must show a medical certificate as proof of disability. The organizer only accepts valid medical certificates from legitimate institutions and doctors,” stressed PK Entertainment in the concert rules, quoted Thursday (16/11/2023).

However, the reality is different from what was promised by the promoter. User X (@romeogadungan) revealed that he and other people with disabilities had difficulty entering the concert area.

According to him, spectators with special needs were handed over to various parties due to the committee not understanding the solution to their complaints. In fact, wheelchair users were advised to move to viewing areas where they were not supposed to.

When potential spectators with special needs gathered to ask for a solution, the committee admitted that the special disability area was full and occupied by ordinary ticket holders.

After experiencing various obstacles, spectators with special needs were finally able to enter the concert area despite various unsatisfactory conditions.

4. Concert Door ‘Broken’

One of the videos uploaded on X shows the moment when spectators who did not have tickets barged into the entrance to the concert area. It can be seen that the audience was pushing each other with the committee crowd control.

Meanwhile, the @gitanisme account also uploaded the moment when the entrance to the Coldplay concert area was ‘breached’ by visitors without tickets from the other side of the stadium. According to @gitanisme, the door that was ‘breached’ was the entrance to the Ultimate Experience category.

“Ultimate Gate is broken, guys,” wrote @gitanisme.

In the video, dozens of visitors from outside the area can be seen running into the stadium.

5. Online motorcycle taxi drivers are chaotic
