Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Presidential candidate Anies Baswedan, who was promoted by the Coalition for Change, opened his voice regarding the vision and mission of Indonesia 2045. According to him, the vision and mission of Indonesia 2045 does not only improve economic growth performance or gross domestic product (GDP) per capita.
At the Workshop of 100 Indonesian Economists, Anies emphasized that the vision and mission of Indonesia 2045 places more emphasis on the prosperity felt by all residents of the country. Therefore, inequality must be the focus.
“This inequality is problematic. This is the reality we face,” stressed Anies, Wednesday (8/11/2023). “But this inequality is real homework,” he said.
On this occasion, Anies also assessed that Indonesia’s economic growth had not succeeded in solving the unemployment problem.
As is known, the Indonesian economy has grown at around 5% for 7 consecutive quarters. However, the number of unemployed is still quite high. Meanwhile, BPS recorded that the number of unemployed people in Indonesia reached 7.99 million people in February 2023, a decrease of around 410 thousand people compared to February 2022.
