Anies Insinuates Political Dynasty, Prabowo-Gibran Camp Replies Spicy News – 1 hour ago

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Presidential candidate (capres) Anies Baswedan again made a statement that sparked controversy. During his visit to Depok, West Java, Anies mentioned the issue of the country belonging to the people, not a few relatives.

“Ladies and gentlemen, do we want to stop nepotism from living in this country anymore?” said Anies in his speech at GDC Depok, Saturday (28/10), quoted from detik.com.

Furthermore, Anies said that there should be no abuse of life in this country. He asked whether the Indonesian people wanted to return to the era of nepotism and collusion like before.

“I convey to everyone, we are moving not only to change the family but we want to restore sanity in the state. Do you agree? Restore ethics in the state,” he said.

This statement invited reactions from rival camps. Several figures from the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) party opened their voices.

Gerindra Deputy Chairperson Habiburokhman agrees with Anies, but Anies should not just use jargon.

“Yes, of course I agree that this country belongs to all Indonesian people. It’s good that it should not just be a jargon, but really be fought for and implemented by politicians,” said Habiburokhman.

He said President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto had implemented the principle that the state belongs to all the people.

According to him, the KIM which supports Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka is a middle way to create a prosperous country for the people.

Golkar also responded through the Head of the Election Management Agency, Nusron Wahid.

“Yes, this country has always belonged to the people. The people who are sovereign are also the people. But it is also the people who choose the leaders. If the leader is right, can advance the nation, make the people prosperous, then the people ask their successors to continue, will the people be blamed?” Nusron said.

Nusron added that the Indonesian people were satisfied with Jokowi’s government. Therefore, the people hope that Jokowi’s leadership can be continued by his eldest son, Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

“The one who owns (the state) is the people. Coincidentally, Pak Jokowi is leading it well. It’s successful. The people are satisfied. The people are prosperous. Then the people who ask Prabowo-Gibran to continue, are the people who ask considered insane?” he explained.

“In fact, those who are not in their right mind, who think that good government should not continue, are replaced by those who are not and make promises,” he said.

Ganjar Pranowo opens his voice

Not only Prabowo-Gibra supporters, PDIP presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo also spoke. He believes that Anies’ words should not need to be questioned again.

“That’s not a question, everyone already knows, who does it belong to?” said Ganjar.

Ganjar believes that there is no such thing as dynastic politics. He said that the country should belong to the people.
