British Royal Orchestra Plays BLACKPINK Songs at the Lifestyle Palace – 4 hours ago

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – BLACKPINK’s visit as special guests of the British Empire is still in the public spotlight. This time, netizens’ attention was focused on the British Royal Orchestra team (Royal Band) which performed one of BLACKPINK’s most popular songs, “DDU-DU DDU-DU”, Wednesday (22/11/2023).

Quoting from a video uploaded by the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the Royal Family (@RoyalFamily), the Royal Band sang the song “DDU-DU DDU-DU” in front of Buckingham Palace, London.

“On Wednesday, we play [lagu] BLACKPINK,” wrote the Royal Family by inserting black and pink heart emojis. These emojis refer to the colors of the group nicknamed ‘Queen of K-pop’.

In the video, the Royal Family uploaded a snippet of the Royal Band featuring the Intro and Pre-Chorus of the song released in 2018.

The upload was immediately greeted warmly by BLINKs (the nickname of BLACKPINK fans) from various countries. Most of the BLINKs thanked the Royal Band for performing “DDU-DU DDU-DU”.

“Thank you very much for welcoming our women (BLACKPINK) so well!! We really love that,” wrote @portalblackpink, quoted Thursday (23/11/2023).

“Thank you for playing the D4 song (“DDU-DU DDU-DU”),” Wrote @BLACKPINKGLOBAL while inserting a white heart emoji.

Previously, all BLACKPINK members attended the welcoming banquet for the state visit of the President of South Korea, Yoon Suk Yeol, to England at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday (21/11/2023) local time.

Reporting from The Korea Herald, BLACKPINK was invited to the banquet as special guests. In fact, King Charles III mentioned the names Jisoo, Jennie, Rose, and Lisa in praising their efforts in promoting awareness of global environmental issues.

“I applaud Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose or known as BLACKPINK for their role in conveying the message of environmental sustainability to a global audience,” said King Charles III.

“I admire how they can prioritize these important issues apart from being world superstars,” he added.

Not only that, Jisoo, Jennie, Rose, and Lisa also received an award from the United Kingdom for their role as global ambassadors for COP26, an annual international climate conference held by the UN, in 2021 in Glasgow, England.

Quoting from a video uploaded by the Royal Family’s official Instagram account (@theroyalfamily), King Charles III awarded the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) to Jisoo, Jennie, Rose and Lisa.

For your information, the honor of MBE is given to one or several people by the King or Queen of England for their achievements in a field.

“First appointed by the UK Government to the role in January 2021, BLACKPINK encouraged millions of young people to get involved in the global UN climate change conference and the topic of climate action,” wrote The Royal Family.
