Brutal International! Israel Launches Deadliest Attack on Gaza News – 2 hours ago

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Israel’s attacks on Gaza are increasingly brutal. This time, the country carried out one of its deadliest nights of bombing during the war against the Palestinian Hamas group.

According to the Hamas-run health ministry, at least 400 Palestinians were killed in Gaza in the last 24 hours. As many as 70 people were killed on Sunday (22/10/2023) evening in bombings of the densely populated Jabalia refugee camp and streets near two hospitals in Gaza City.

Report The Guardian said entire housing blocks in the Gaza Strip had now been leveled, including in areas where Palestinians had been told by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to seek shelter.

Now about half of the homes in the region, and much of the coastal area, is covered in a dusty gray dust.

The deadly Israeli attack took place as two hostages were freed amid talks to secure the release of dozens of other hostages.

On Monday evening, Hamas said it had released two elderly Israeli women – Yokheved Lifshitz and Nurit Yitzhak, also known as Nurit Cooper – for humanitarian reasons in response to mediation by Qatar and Egypt.

Meanwhile, Israeli media reported that the United States (US) and Qatar were trying to broker a deal that would free 50 people detained by Hamas and other groups in Gaza who are foreign or dual citizens.

Gaza health authorities say at least 5,087 people were killed in two weeks of Israeli bombardment – many of them women and children.

The new war – the fifth since Hamas took control of Gaza in 2007 – broke out after the group attacked southern Israeli communities on October 7, killing 1,400 people and taking 222 to the Gaza Strip as bargaining chips.

On Monday, the Israeli military said it had struck more than 320 “military targets” in the past 24 hours, and ground forces had carried out “limited strikes” to kill gunmen and search for hostages.

Hamas said a day earlier that it destroyed an Israeli tank and two armored bulldozers inside the area. Two drones launched from Gaza towards Israel was shot down on Monday.
