Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia– The Netherlands will provide a grant of 105 million euros (around Rp. 1.7 trillion) to the Indonesian government. This was revealed during a visit by the Dutch Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, Hanke Bruins Slot, Tuesday (31/10/2023).
The investment grant was proposed as part of a 300 million euro cooperation program through Invest International. This is a Dutch government funding mechanism.
“This program can also include Dutch loans and will support sustainable and inclusive public initiatives in sectors where Dutch expertise is relevant,” he said in a speech hosted by CNBC Indonesia.
“For example, in the fields of climate and energy, agriculture and food, health, water and infrastructure,” he added.
“Moreover, for the sake of a green and sustainable future, we must work together to tackle deforestation,” he stressed.

He also touched on Indonesian palm oil. He said that his country was one of the largest importers of the European Union (EU).
“We are committed to continuing to work with Indonesia to make the palm oil sector more sustainable,” he added.
In Indonesia, Slot previously met with Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi. He also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BSSN regarding increasing cooperation in the cyber sector.
