Elon Musk Pro Israel, Minister of Communication and Information Reveals the Fate of Starlink at RI Tech – 14 hours ago

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Starlink’s fate in entering Indonesia is a question. The reason is, the owner of SpaceX which produces Starlink is billionaire Elon Musk who has expressed his support for Israel.

Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie Setiadi has no problem with this support. He emphasized that Starlink’s entry into Indonesia must be in accordance with Indonesia’s sovereignty, not other countries.

“No, the problem is that Starlink is coming here about the sovereignty of our country. Not about the sovereignty of other countries,” said Budi when met in Jakarta, Thursday (30/11/2023).

Starlink’s requirement to be able to enter Indonesia is to use an Indonesian IP address. If that is not done, then it cannot be controlled.

“Our IP address in Indonesia is okay. If the IP address is not in Indonesia, how will we control it,” he said.

Not long ago, Elon Musk reportedly held a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister (PM) Benjamin Netanyahu. The businessman expressed support for Israel’s war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

He expressed this support when Elon Musk visited Kibbutz. The area is said to have been the target of a Hamas attack on October 7 2023.

After visiting the Kibbutz, Elon Musk expressed his shock at seeing the massacre site. He even said that Israel had no choice but to eliminate Hamas.

Meanwhile, news of Starlink entering Indonesia has been heard for some time. On the official website, Starlink plans to enter in 2024 are also displayed.
