Gibran Learns from Influencers Ahead of the Tech Presidential-Vice Presidential Candidate Debate – 2 hours ago

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Ahead of the General Election for President and Vice President (Pilpres) on February 14 2024, the General Election Commission (KPU) will hold 5 debates for Presidential Candidates (capres) and Vice Presidential Candidates (cawapres).

The first debate will be held on December 12 with the themes Law, Human Rights, Government, Eradicating Corruption and Strengthening Democracy.

The presidential and vice presidential candidates have a special way of preparing themselves. Vice presidential candidate number 2 Gibran Rakabuming Raka said he had asked for input from experts and influencers.

The Mayor of Solo has accommodated various points of view from several parties. He admitted that he had received a lot of provisions to face this debate.

“Yesterday we met with influencers, Gen Z, millennials,” said Gibran earlier this week, quoted from CNN Indonesia, Tuesday (5/12/2023).

According to Gibran, it is important to listen to input from young people, because it is relevant to today’s world.

He also emphasized that he was ready to follow various debate procedures and rules from the KPU.

“Yes, let’s face it,” he said.

Gibran is paired with presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto. They will face Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD.

For your information, the presidential-vice presidential debate this time is different from the one held in 2019.

This time, the presidential and vice presidential candidates will be present in full at all debates. There is no longer a separate debate for vice presidential candidates like 5 years ago.

The first debate between presidential and vice presidential candidates will be held at the Indonesian KPU office, Menteng.
