Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Secretary General of PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto cried until he choked when he talked about President Joko Widodo’s (Jokowi) decision which was deemed not to share his party’s vision and mission in the 2024 presidential election. Hasto couldn’t hold back his tears and wiped his tears with a tissue when talking about Jokowi.

“The pain is that we are used to experiencing this pain. This is part of the history of the pain, yes, we cannot close our eyes, but it is very sad that Mrs. Mega (Ketum PDIP) is guarding all of Jokowi, and so are we,” said Hasto in an interview on the Akbar Podcast. Faizal Uncensored Thursday night as written on Sunday (12/11/2023).

Hasto said that his party and PDIP Chairman Megawati Soekarnoputri had been guarding Jokowi for 23 years. But now Hasto thinks Jokowi’s attitude has changed.

“When I met me, why did it happen like this? I could only explain that humans can be changed by the dark sides of power,” he said.

Despite being disappointed with Jokowi’s attitude, PDIP and Megawati currently claim that Hasto has moved on. Now they look to the future with new enthusiasm.

“It’s been 6 months since April, you know up and down “But we finally crystallized a new spirit, a new determination,” he said.

However, Hasto emphasized that PDIP will still be behind Jokowi until the government is finished in 2024.

“These are the dark sides of power. So yesterday we closed the book. But we still respect Pak Jokowi as president so he can carry out his duties until the end of his term,” he concluded.

Previously, Jokowi had given his blessing to his son, PDIP cadre Gibran Rakabuming Raka, to run as Prabowo Subianto’s vice presidential candidate. PDIP itself already has presidential and vice presidential candidates, namely Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD. Although Jokowi recently emphasized that he would be neutral in the 2024 presidential election.
