How to Use WhatsApp Multi-Account, 1 Cellphone Can Use 2 Numbers Tech – 52 minutes ago

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Two WhatsApp numbers can now be used on just one cellphone. So there’s no need to bother bringing 2 devices just to chat on WhatsApp.

This new capability was announced by the instant messaging platform some time ago.

“What’s better than having a WhatsApp account? Yes, of course having two,” said WhatsApp in a post on its official blog, quoted on Sunday (29/10/2023).

“Today we are introducing the ability to log in to two WhatsApp accounts on Android simultaneously. It is very useful for switching between accounts, such as work and personal,” added the company.

In the image shared in the upload, it can be seen that the user just has to select one of the accounts in the profile menu. The selected or active account is represented by a checklist in the circle next to the user number.

WhatsApp also reminds us to only use official applications and not use imitations or fakes to get this feature. Because by using the official platform, WhatsApp ensures that messages shared will be safe and private.

According to CNBC Indonesia monitoring, this feature is already available for Android phones. However, if you haven’t gotten it yet, you need to be patient, because new features usually take time to be used by all users.

WhatsApp also shares how to use two numbers at once on one cellphone. Prepare a second SIM card or cellphone that supports multi SIM or e-SIM.

Once ready, here are the steps to use two accounts on one cellphone:

1. Open the WhatsApp application on your Android cellphone

2. Click the Settings menu

3. Press the down arrow next to the profile name

4. You will see an account with the cellphone number you are currently using. To add an account, click ‘Add account’ or ‘Add account’

5. Follow all WhatsApp instructions.
