IHSG insists, this investment makes 3% profit in just a week! My Money – 2 hours ago

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Starting from 12 to 16 February 2024, the performance of the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) strengthened 0.89%. However, the JCI performance seems to be still inferior to these 10 mutual funds.

Based on data from Edvisor.id, there were five stock index mutual funds whose performance exceeded the IHSG in a week. The two index mutual funds that occupy the first and second positions are Infobank15 index mutual funds, the first is made by PT PNM Investment Management and the second is owned by PT Surya Timur Alam Raya.

Another interesting fact is that the performance of two mutual funds in the past three months has reached 15%. Their performance not only outperformed the JCI, but also outperformed the Sri Kehati Index and IDX Growth 30.

Of the 10 mutual funds with the highest performance in the week, eight of them were index funds, while there was one stock mutual fund and one mixed mutual fund.

Even though most of the portfolio contents are dominated by shares, index mutual funds are different from stock mutual funds. This is because stock mutual funds are designed to have performance that can outperform the reference index.

One week’s historical data shows that in just three months this instrument can achieve quite impressive performance because it reaches double digits. However, this does not mean that index mutual funds are appropriate for short-term investments.

Fluctuations in the value of this mutual fund certainly follow the value of the stock index which is the basic asset of the mutual fund. In the short term, fluctuations in mutual funds are quite high, and because the nature of mutual fund returns cannot be guaranteed, it would be better to choose instruments with lower levels of fluctuation, such as money market or fixed income mutual funds.
