International NATO Countries Send Troops to Israel, What’s Up? News – 18 minutes ago

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – NATO country Canada has reportedly sent troops to Israel. This happened when the Jewish State was in a bloody conflict with the Palestinian Gaza militia, Hamas.

Global Canadian News reported that Ottawa had deployed “a small team of special operations forces” to Israel. This includes Joint Task Force 2 (JTF2), Canada’s most elite and secretive military Special Forces unit that is “responsible for the military’s most dangerous and sensitive missions, including counter-terrorism and hostage rescue.”

“Canadian Special Operations Command (CANSOFCOM) forces have been deployed in Israel to handle security at the Canadian embassy, including the possible future evacuation of critical staff and liaising with Israeli forces,” said the source, who was also quoted by Middle East Monitor, Thursday (9/11 /2023).

The deployment comes a week after the Canadian Forces Intelligence Command confirmed that Israeli troops were not responsible for the attack on the Baptist Hospital in Gaza, which previously killed hundreds of people. Even though the place is a protected area for residents.

Previously, escalation in the Gaza area continued to increase after Israel bombarded the area sporadically. This was done by Tel Aviv to destroy the Hamas group, which attacked the Jewish State on October 7 and killed 1,400 residents.

Even though it claims to target Hamas, Israel’s attacks have in fact caused great damage to civilians. So far, the number of civilian victims killed in Gaza has reached at least 10,500.

Israeli Prime Minister (PM) Benjamin Netanyahu mentioned the difficulties in his attack on Hamas in Gaza, especially in avoiding civilian casualties in the region. He promised that Israel would make full efforts to reduce the number of civilians killed in Gaza.

“There is no way to defeat terrorists embedded in the population, but unfortunately there will be civilian casualties,” he explained in the interview.

“We will do it again and again to reduce it”

Israel also cut off the flow of logistics, internet, electricity and water blockades to Gaza, under the pretext of putting pressure on Hamas. However, this has had an impact on the lives of civilians, especially in health-related activities due to a lack of logistical supplies while casualties are increasing.

It is known that the United States (US) has sent warships closer to Israel since the beginning of the war. England also did something similar.

War Widening?

Meanwhile, Hezbollah’s second highest leader gave the latest warning. The powerful Iran-backed militia in Lebanon says Israel’s killing of civilians in Gaza risks leading to a wider war in the Middle East.

In an interview at BBC International, Sheikh Naim Qassem said the current developments are very serious and dangerous. According to him, nothing can stop its impact in the future.

“The danger is real,” he stressed, quoted Thursday.

“Because Israel is increasing its aggression against civilians and killing more women and children. Is it possible for this to continue and escalate, without bringing any real danger to the region? I don’t think so,” he added in an interview in Beirut.

He emphasized that any escalation would be related to Israeli actions. Every possibility, he said, must have a response.

It should be noted that Hezbollah itself is the largest political and military force in Lebanon. However, Britain, the US and the Arab League classify it as a terrorist organization.

In the interview, Sheikh Naim Qassem also emphasized how the Israeli and Palestinian problems did not only occur on October 7. He called the attack an unavoidable response to Israel’s decades-long occupation of Palestinian land.

“Why don’t we look at what Israel has done in Gaza,” he said.

“They killed civilians and destroyed houses,” he added.

In 1948, the UN made resolution 181. The global organization then adopted dividing Palestine into two countries and one international territory, the state of Palestine, Israel and the region of Jerusalem.

However, this has never been realized. War even increasingly became between the two regions.

The Oslo Accords in 1993 also attempted mediation. The Palestinian Authority, PLO recognized Israel under a two-state solution and effectively signed an agreement giving Israel control of 60% of the West Bank, as well as most of the land and water resources in the region.

The agreement would supposedly provide the first elected Palestinian government, running an independent state in the West Bank and Gaza Strip with its capital in East Jerusalem. But the promise of an agreement never materialized.
