Gaza Civil Defense said Israeli bombs destroyed hundreds of buildings and homes.

“We launched attacks from the air and land. We attacked terror operations from all sides,” said Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant in a video, quoted from Al JazeeraSunday (29/10/2023).

“The instructions to the troops are clear: the operation will continue until new orders are given,” he added.

Continuous ground attacks coincided with air strikes from Israeli forces. Communications are paralyzed in Gaza and the population of 2.3 million people is cut off from the outside world.

Various officials from non-profit organizations, the UN, and journalists in the field are difficult to reach. On Saturday morning, Al Jazeera journalist Hani Mahmoud reported from Khan Younis, southern Gaza.

He said Palestinians had endured the most difficult and bloodiest night since the war began. It is difficult to know the exact number of casualties at this time. However, Mahmoud said at least hundreds of people were killed in the area of ​​the attack.

Emergency services could not arrive in time to provide assistance. Residents in the southern area also have difficulty contacting their relatives on the northern side of Gaza.

“Cutting off Gaza from the outside world makes people here feel like this is a genocide movement. They can’t know what happened to their families and relatives,” said Mahmoud.

Local health authorities say more than 7,703 Palestinians have been killed since October 7, 2023, when Israel began an offensive on the Gaza Strip in response to a surprise attack by the Hamas group.
