Jokowi Appoints Former High-ranking Densus 88 Official as New Head of BNN News – 9 hours ago

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has appointed a new head of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN), replacing Komjen Petrus Golose who has entered retirement age. Jokowi has also signed the Presidential Decree appointing the new Head of BNN.

“Mr Petrus Golose retires on December 1 2023,” said Presidential Staff Coordinator Ari Dwipayana in a short message, Monday (4/12/2023).

For this reason, Jokowi appointed Inspector General Pol Marthinus Hukom as the new Head of BNN. Although further information will be provided regarding the inauguration schedule later.

“Therefore, on November 29 2023, the President signed a Presidential Decree dismissing Mr. Petrus Golose as Head of BNN, and appointing Inspector General of Police Marthinus Hukom as the new Head of BNN,” said Ari.

The figure of Marthinus Hukom is a high-ranking police officer, who previously served as Head of the National Police’s Special Anti-Terror Detachment 88.

Marthinus, who has experience in the field of research, was also involved in the operation to arrest Bali Bomb terrorist Ali Imron.
