Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) directly checked the repair of damaged road conditions in Central Lampung Regency, Friday (27/10/2023). This is Jokowi’s second visit to damaged roads in this area.
“Today I want to confirm that what I saw 5 months ago is all running, and it is not 100% finished,” said Jokowi, quoting the Presidential Secretariat’s broadcast, Friday (27/10/2023).
From the results of the review, the average progress of new road repairs is 60% – 70%. Which is expected to be completed by the end of 2023.
“As we saw in Rumbia (District), Central Lampung Regency is only about 60% complete,” said Jokowi.

Apart from that, Jokowi also saw that the results of the repair work carried out were quite good. Where using concrete hardening or rigid pavement 30 cm thick, so it can last for decades.
“Everything is smooth, so you can sleep in the car, it’s really smooth now,” he explained.
As is known, Lampung Province received a budget injection from the central government of IDR 800 billion to repair 17 damaged roads. Jokowi directly checked the condition of the road in the Central Lampung area on Friday (5/5/2023).
At that time, a road in Lampung, especially Rumbia District, went viral because it was criticized by one of the content creators, Bima Yudho Saputro. Where Jokowi struggled to get through the badly damaged roads in this area using the presidential car.
