Jokowi flies to Papua to check rice warehouse News – 2 hours ago

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will pay a visit to Papua Province in the next few days. Jokowi plans to visit the Bulog Mandala warehouse.

After a 4-hour flight from Jakarta, President Jokowi arrived at Frans Kaisiepo International Airport, Biak Numfor Regency, at around 16.10 WIT, Wednesday (22/3/2023).

Upon arrival at the airport, President Jokowi was greeted by Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, Acting Regional Secretary of Papua Province Derek Hegemur, Pangdam XVII/Cenderawasih Major General TNI Izak Pangemanan, Papua Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Mathius D. Fakhiri, Pangkoopsud III Air Marshal TNI Donal Kasenda, and Danlanud Manuhua Marsma TNI Yostariza.

After that, the President and his entourage continued their journey to the Bulog Mandala Warehouse Complex to check rice supplies and distribute food aid from government food reserves to a number of beneficiary families (KPM).

Previously, the Indonesian Presidential Plane-1 carrying President Jokowi and his entourage took off from Halim Perdanakusuma TNI AU Base, Jakarta at around 10.00 WIB.

Also accompanying the President on the flight to Papua Province were the Minister of Investment/Head of BKPM Bahlil Lahadalia, the President’s Military Secretary Rear Admiral TNI Hersan, Paspampres Commander Major General TNI Rafael Granada Baay, Plh. Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media of the Presidential Secretariat M. Yusuf Permana, as well as Special Staff to the President Billy Mambrasar.
