Jokowi said that the construction of the BPJS office adds to the available facilities, so that people no longer hesitate to live in IKN.

“Because there is already social security protection from BPJS, employment social security protection is very important so that workers are protected from various risks, both social and economic risks,” said Jokowi, in his speech.

On the same occasion, the Main Director of BPJS Employment, Anggoro Eko Cahyo, said that the BPJS Employment office building carries a green design concept, which was built on 1.19 hectares of land.

Using energy efficient architecture, and optimizing wind and solar potential throughout the space.

“Construction is planned to be divided into 2 stages, where stage 1 is targeted for completion in December 2024, which also marks the start of our service operations, and will be completely completed in the third quarter of 2025,” said Eko.

Apart from that, he also revealed that currently 40 million workers have been protected by the BPJAMSOSTEK program, or reaching 40% of the eligible Indonesian worker ecosystem, with total managed funds reaching IDR 686 trillion, or growing 12.9% year-on-year. including all construction workers within the IKN environment.
