Price-Specifications for Infinix Hot 40, the Successor to the Hidden Chinese HP at RI Tech – 40 minutes ago

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Infinix announced the arrival of the Hot 40 series, which consists of three cellphones namely the Hot 40 Pro, Hot 40, and Hot 40i.

All of them come with a 5,000 mAh battery and a software feature called the Xboost game engine to further optimize the device when playing games, quoted from GSMArena, Monday (11/12/2023).

Infinix Hot 40 Pro

This cellphone is the strongest of the three with the Helio G99 6nm chipset. The screen is a 6.78 inch LCD with Full HD+ resolution and supports a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a touch sampling rate of 240 Hz.

There is only one RAM option for the Hot 40 Pro, namely 8 GB, while the storage is 128 GB or 256 GB.

The Infinix Hot 40 Pro has a main camera with a 108 MP sensor, a 2 MP macro camera, and a lens that is listed as an “AI camera”.

Meanwhile, for selfies, it is equipped with a 32 MP sensor located in the punch hole, where Infinix has made a Magic Ring, a notification zone similar to the iPhone 15’s Dynamic Island. This will provide notifications when the cellphone is unlocked, being charged or used during a call .

One of its advantages is the Xboost engine, a kind of Infinix game launcher that allows for increased stability during gaming. The phone also boots XOS 13.5, based on Android 13.

According to Infinix, the Hot 40 Pro battery can be charged from 20% to 75% in just 35 minutes with the 33W charger included in the box. Additionally, the phone can last 1,600 charging cycles, which is more than 4 years if the phone is used every day.

Infinix offers the Hot 40 Pro in four colors, namely Palm Blue, Horizon Gold, Starlit Black and Starfall Green.

The Infinix Hot 40 has similar specifications to its Pro variant sibling, including size, a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W charging, and a 6.78-inch LCD. This panel is limited to a 90 Hz refresh rate. It gets a better touch sampling rate speed of up to 270 Hz.

Another difference is the main camera. The Hot 40 comes with a 50 MP f/1.6 camera, coupled with a 2 MP + AI macro camera. The selfie camera is 32 MP, which is hidden in the Magic Ring.

The Hot 40 has a 12nm Helio G88 chipset with a 2.0 GHz CPU. The RAM is 8 GB, while the storage is 128 GB or 256 GB.

The Infinix Hot 40 is available in the same four colors as Pro, Palm Blue, Horizon Gold, Starlit Black, and Starfall Green.

Infinix Hot 40i

The Hot 40i is the most affordable phone in the series. It comes with a Unisoc T606 chipset with an octa-core CPU with two Cortex-A75 performance cores at 1.6 GHz, and six Cortex-A55 units for efficiency at 1.6 GHz. The GPU is Mali-G57 MC1 650 Hz.

The screen is smaller, namely a 6.56 inch LCD with HD+ resolution. But the company maintains the 90 Hz refresh rate and touch sampling rate. 180 Hz. There are two RAM options, namely 4GB and 8GB, while the storage is 128GB or 256GB.

Regarding the camera, the Hot 40i looks similar to the Hot 40 and Hot 40 Pro, which have a 50 MP main camera and an AI camera. The 32 MP selfie camera with Magic Ring is still maintained.

Another downgrade that the company has made to keep cellphone prices low is charging. The battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh but is limited in terms of charging speed at 18W.

Infinix Hot 40i comes in Black, Blue, Gold and Green.

The company did not reveal pricing details for the new series. All that is said is that the lineup will cost under US$200 (Rp. 3.1 million) and prices will vary from market to market.
