Road to CNBC Indonesia Awards Reveals Why Indonesian People Like to Go for Treatment Abroad News – 3 hours ago

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – General Chair of the Indonesian Private Hospital Association (ARSSI) Iing Ichsan Hanafi admitted that the level of health services abroad (LN) is better than at home. So it is not surprising that many Indonesian people who are in the well-to-do category prefer treatment in overseas settings.

Reflecting on this, said Iing, his party is committed to continuing to improve services so that people can use domestic hospitals for treatment.

“We are optimistic that in the future we can contribute and of course we will improve services. As the minister said, many people seek treatment outside. We consider this a reference for improving services,” said Iing in Road to CNBC Awards 2023′Best Healthcare‘, on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.

However, for this reason, his party also asked the government to ensure that industry is given regulatory certainty regarding health. So that private hospitals can continue to encourage the strengthening of facilities and human resources to be even better.

Iing said that the problem of distribution of health facilities is currently concentrated in the city center, or Java. Meanwhile outside Java it is very limited. Likewise with the distribution of doctors distributed in big cities.

“We hope that regulations from the Ministry of Health can help with this and specialist doctors will go to the regions,” he said.

As known, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin previously stated that many Indonesians prefer to seek treatment abroad because domestic hospital facilities are still lacking.

For this reason, the government continues to encourage the domestic health industry to improve and improve its services so that people prefer domestic hospitals rather than overseas ones.
