The excitement of eating omelettes can cause cancer, this is what the doctor says

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – A medical expert said that consuming omelettes can cause chronic diseases. This was announced in a podcast attended by Iwan Benny as founder of Concept Karnus and dr. Ary Yanuar.

In the video podcast uploaded to the YouTube account @kasi Solusi, omelettes became a hot topic of discussion regarding their impact on health. Even though omelettes are a simple side dish that never fails to please the taste buds


Quoting seconds, it was previously known that the Karnus Concept or Indonesian Warrior practices a basic methodology for studying how the human body works. Iwan also mentioned that Karnus emphasized doing everything to the body based on an ‘algorithm’ or gift from God.

Karnus’ concept states that consuming omelettes can trigger cancer and other metabolic diseases.

Iwan Benny explained that there are chemical components called avidin and biotin in eggs which should not be mixed.

“When fatty acids with many odd chains are in the egg yolk, avidin (in the egg white) will lock the biotin (in the egg yolk) to break it down. Moreover, when fried, these bonds will be locked and damaged… Ultimately these odd fat chains cannot “It enters the blood and will form new compounds, namely radical ketones. This will enter and rob electrons in DNA and RNA, causing cancer to occur,” explained Iwan.

Responding to this statement, dr. Tirta via his Instagram account @dr.tirta (15/2) said that eggs are not directly related to diabetes and cancer. This is because the error in cooking eggs is in the process.

“Eggs that are cooked using oil that is already black and burnt, this is what causes carcinogenicity. Second, the method of seasoning it is too much. Third, avidin and biotin can indeed have an effect, but if consumed in very large quantities,” answered Dr. Tirta.

Not only Dr. Tirta, Dr. Dion Haryadi also spoke out regarding this debate.

In the video uploaded to the Instagram account @dionharyadi (16/2), he uses a research journal as a reference to convey his views.

The first journal he showed specifically discussed biotin deficiency conditions. Indeed, there are several symptoms that can result from biodeficiency, but they do not necessarily cause cancer.

The condition of biotin deficiency due to egg consumption is explained by the term Egg White Injury Syndrome. This condition is caused by consuming eggs incorrectly, in their raw condition, in large quantities and over a long period of time.

Meanwhile, the bonds between avidin and biotin, as Iwan mentioned previously, can apparently be released by the cooking process. So biotin will still be digested by the body and will help break down the fat chains in the food consumed.

This explanation was also confirmed by the Medscape journal which stated that the process of cooking eggs, whether omeletted, boiled or fried, was classified as safe. In fact, the category of consumers who are more at risk of experiencing biotin deficiency is not from consuming omelettes, but rather smokers and those who consume alcohol.
