Tokyo, CNBC Indonesia – Daihatsu Motor Co. Ltd. participated in the Japan Mobility Show 2023 (JMS) which was held for 10 days from 26 October – 5 November 2023, at the Tokyo Big Sight exhibition area, Tokyo, Japan. At the inaugural JMS 2023 exhibition, Daihatsu raised the theme “Always close to customers and making them more valuable”.

In accordance with this theme, Daihatsu displays vehicles that represent the history of Daihatsu’s development and vehicles that are close to customers. Apart from that, Daihatsu also displayed 5 concept cars that depict the future.

In developing a concept product, Daihatsu not only prioritizes styling, but also pays attention to the customer’s perspective on every part of the car, starting from benefits, functions and possible future developments.

Daihatsu also respects every element contained in each vehicle so that it can produce vehicles that are close to and in accordance with customer needs.

The following is a series of concept cars that Daihatsu exhibited at this year’s Japan Mobility Show, which represent five ways to express always being close to customers and making them more valuable.

Memo

Me:MO is a mini passenger battery electric vehicle (BEV) with a fun style that can be adapted to every stage of life. Me-Mo supports its users to be themselves. Me:Mo was built on the desire to “Redefine customer needs for vehicles”.

Through a completely new design that takes into account the manufacturing process but still meets customer needs, this vehicle can be adapted to various stages of life.

We not only make it possible to develop this vehicle, but also consider the structure of the vehicle from the interior and exterior according to the required function. This makes the Daihatsu concept car an environmentally friendly vehicle that can be used for a long time in response to changes that occur in customers at every stage of their lives.

Uniform Cargo

A mini commercial vehicle of the future that can be used as a commercial vehicle that is easy to use and suitable for various styles and purposes.

Apart from providing convenience and comfort for its users, this vehicle also has a sleek design that supports various types of work, gives a sense of pride, and is easy to develop according to practical needs.

Truck Uniforms

The Uniform Truck has a unique external BEV power supply function, enabling a variety of uses such as mobile shop vans or other variations of future commercial cars. The flat cabin and trunk space makes this vehicle easier to use and clean.

The interior and exterior parts of the Uniform Truck can also be removed, allowing this vehicle to be used in various personal situations as well as for various commercial vehicle needs.

OSANPO

OSANPO allows drivers to enjoy the comfort of driving with free air, while driving around, and enjoy a calmer life.
OSANPO offers a fun life.
A luxury vehicle to enjoy the natural surroundings with the wind blowing while driving.

This car offers a relaxed atmosphere and a sense of calm, in accordance with the characteristics of BEV vehicles. Apart from that, OSANPO is also an open-top vehicle that can be used for driving, with a slightly taller vehicle model.

VISION COPEN

Finally, VISION COPEN emphasizes the joy and pleasure of driving while remaining true to the calm character of the Copen.

This car was developed from COPEN’s DNA, where users can experience the sensation of driving while feeling the wind blowing, as well as with the best design and mobility performance.

This vehicle offers the best driving experience through the combination of a front engine, rear-wheel drive layout, an internal combustion engine with Carbon Neutral fuel, while inheriting the universal styling of the first generation COPEN and an active electric roof.

At the 2023 Japan Mobility Show, Daihatsu raised the theme Staying Close to Our Customers and Enriching Their Lives so that it can “Always be close to customers and make them more valuable”. This is in line with Daihatsu’s vision and has been maintained since Daihatsu was founded.

To make this happen, Daihatsu displays vehicles that represent the history of Daihatsu’s development which is very close to customers, and also displays concept cars that depict the future. Daihatsu also continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting environmentally friendly community mobility.
