Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Atalia Praratya, wife of former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil, is running as a legislative candidate for the DPR RI from the electoral district (dapil) West Java I. Atalia, who is supported by the Golkar Party, is so far the strongest candidate predicted to qualify for Senayan.

Based on monitoring by CNBC Indonesia on the official website of the General Election Commission (KPU) on Monday (19/6) as of 15.00 WIB, Atalia has collected 83,332 votes and was in first place. Atalia’s vote tally far surpassed that of other candidates from the Golkar Party who were both competing for seats in the DPR RI from the West Java I electoral district.

Chasing in second place after Atalia was former artist Nurul Arifin with 22,534 votes.

Salaries of DPR RI members

The basic salaries of DPR members and their allowances have been explained in the circular letter of the secretary general of the DPR RI NO.KU.00/9414/DPR RI/XII/2010 and in the letter of the minister of finance number S-520/MK.02/2015. The basic salary of DPR members is also regulated in the Republic of Indonesia government regulation Number 75 of 2000. Article 1 explains that the basic salary is:

• The basic salary of the Chairman of the DPR is IDR 5,040,000,
• The basic salary for the Deputy Speaker of the DPR is IDR 4,620,000,
• The basic salary for DPR members is IDR 4,200,000.

Not only the basic salary, council members also receive nominal allowances according to their position. The higher the position, the greater the benefits you get.

These allowances also include wife allowances, child allowances, rice allowances, court fees, credit facilities, and finally DPR members also receive office budget allowances.

The allowances for DPR RI members include:

• The court fee/package is IDR 2,000,000.
• Member assistant Rp. 2,250,000.
• The rice allowance is IDR 30,090 per person, every month.
• PPh allowance IDR 2,699,813.

The wife’s allowance is 10% of the basic salary for:

• DPR members Rp. 420,000 per month.
• Member of the DPR and Deputy Chair Rp. 462,000 per month.
• Member of the DPR and Chairperson IDR 504,000 per month.

Allowance for two children is 2% of the basic salary of DPR RI members for:

• DPR members Rp. 168,000 per month.
• Member of the DPR and Deputy Speaker Rp. 184,000 per month.
• Members of the DPR and Chairperson receive IDR 201,600 per month.

Position allowances for members of the DPR RI:

• The position allowance for DPR members is IDR 9,700,000 per month.
• The allowance for the position of Member of the DPR and Deputy Speaker is IDR 15,600,000 per month.
• The allowance for the position of Member of the DPR and Chairman is IDR 18,900,000 per month.
