Tomorrow, Jokowi Appoints Agus Subiyanto as TNI Commander News – 2 hours ago

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will inaugurate General Agus Subiyanto as TNI Commander at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday (21/11/2023). This was stated by Presidential Special Staff Coordinator Ari Dwipayana.

“The plan is that tomorrow morning, the president is scheduled to inaugurate TNI General Agus Subiyanto as TNI Commander,” said Ari in a written statement, Tuesday (21/11/2023).

Agus replaces Admiral Yudo Margono who will enter retirement age, namely 58 years, on November 26 2023.

According to Ari, no more officials will be appointed tomorrow.

“The information I received was that there was no agenda for the inauguration of other officials,” he explained.

Previously, Commission I DPR agreed that General Agus Subiyanto would be the new TNI Commander, replacing Admiral Yudo Margono. This decision was agreed upon after a fit and proper test for the TNI commander which was held (11/13/2023).

Today, the DPR RI Plenary Meeting approved the report of Commission I DPR RI regarding the appointment of Agus.
