Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) give appreciation to customers who update their data with attractive prizes in the form of additional balance.
Customers will receive an additional balance of IDR 25 thousand for the first 1,000 people who successfully update their cellphone number at the ATM/CRM every month.
This program period starts from 8 October 2023 – 31 December 2023 with additional balance given a maximum of every 10th of the following month.

BRI Consumer Business Director Handayani believes that with this appreciation, customers will always be more disciplined in updating their personal data. The hope is that this can reduce the incidence of digital banking crimes.
“BRI continues to be committed to providing comfort and security to customers through customer-centricity programs. The rewards given are also an appreciation for the active participation of customers,” said Handayani in an official statement, Monday (30/10/2023).
As is known, currently digital crimes that utilize service users’ personal data are still affecting the public. This includes crimes that attack banking customers using social engineering, phishing, etc.
Reflecting on this, there is a risk of lurking in customers who do not update their personal data, including the cellphone number registered in their bank account. One example is, if a customer changes numbers, the old number which has been inactive for a certain period of time will be resold by the telecommunications operator.
So there is a possibility that this number was purchased and used by irresponsible parties. When this happens, the risk of abuse lurks.
The way to update your cellphone number at BRI ATM/CRM is as follows:
1. Insert your BRI Debit Card at the BRI ATM/CRM
2. Enter the BRI Debit Card Pin
3. Select the Transaction Menu
4. A screen will appear requesting an update of the cellphone number for the selected customer
5. Enter your cellphone number on the BRI ATM/CRM screen
6. Select the Return Transaction Menu
7. After the transaction you will receive an official WA/SMS notification from BRI
8. Immediately confirm via WA/SMS notification
