Votes Obtained by 16 Artist Candidates and Predictions Who Will Pass

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The 2024 General Election (Pemilu) is enlivened by Indonesian celebrities who are running as legislative candidates (candidates) to compete for seats in the People’s Representative Council (DPR RI) and the Regional Representative Council (DPD). Now, the counting of their votes in each electoral district (dapil) is still ongoing.

The names of the artists included in the real vote tally list (real count) including Ahmad Dhani, Aldi Taher, Once Mekel, Uya Kuya, Melly Goeslaw, Kris Dayanti, and Komeng.


For your information, Indonesian entertainment actors are fighting for one of the 580 seats together with legislative candidates running from 84 electoral districts. The comedian who is known as Jorgan “Uhuy!”, Alfiansyah Komeng is on the list as the first artist to nominate as a DPD member from the West Java electoral district as well as the temporary highest vote winner. As of 10.44 WIB, Komeng had won 1,783,282 votes or 16.25 percent of West Java residents.

2. Jihan Fahira

Former soap opera actress, Jihan Fahira is Komeng’s closest rival in fighting for the DPD seat in the West Java electoral district. As of 10.45 WIB, this soap opera actress from the 1990s to 2000s had won 650,420 votes or 5.93 percent.

3. Uya Kuya

Uya Kuya is running as a candidate for member of the DPR RI contesting in the DKI Jakarta II electoral district. Based on the temporary real count results, the artist who joined the National Mandate Party (PAN) has won 39,405 votes.

4. Once Mekel

Similar to Uya Kuya, Once Mekel is running as a candidate for member of the DPR RI in the DKI Jakarta II electoral district. As of 10.51 WIB, the Dewa 19 frontman who joined PDI Perjuangan had won 24,272 votes.

No less than Uya Kuya who led the vote in PAN, Once also led the vote in PDI Perjuangan from the DKI Jakarta II electoral district.

5. Melly Goeslaw

The legendary Indonesian singer and songwriter, Melly Goeslaw, also participated in the race for a seat in the DPR RI through the West Java I electoral district. In order to get a seat in Senayan, Melly joined the Gerindra Party.

Based on the results real count Meanwhile, the singer of the song “Gantung” received the highest number of votes from the Gerindra Party with 26,199 votes. These results came from 4,888 out of 8,984 polling stations or the equivalent of 54.41 percent of data as of 10.59 WIB.

6. Giring Nidji

The vocalist of the band Nidji and former General Chair of PSI, Giring Ganesha is running as a candidate for member of the DPR RI through the West Java I electoral district. His popularity as a musician since the 2000s has succeeded in making Giring’s vote tally quite high.

Based on real count data up to 11.02 WIB, Giring has currently managed to get the highest number of votes in PSI with 14,787 votes. This figure is quite far when compared to the second highest achievement from PSI, namely Melissa Lie with 2,022 votes.

7. Hengki Kurniawan

Hengki Kurniawan is a former actor who has been quite active in the world of politics. This PDI Perjuangan cadre is the Deputy Regent of West Bandung for the 2018-2021 period who will continue as Regent of West Bandung in 2022-2023.

After resigning as Regent, Hengki ran as a candidate for member of the DPR RI for the West Java II electoral district and competed with fellow Indonesian public figure, Denny Cagur. To date, Hengki has won the most votes in the PDI Perjuangan with a total of 17,484 votes.

This data comes from 6,418 of 16,122 polling stations or the equivalent of 39.81 percent of data as of 11.07 WIB.

8. Denny Cagur

Indonesian presenter and comedian, Denny Cagur, is one of Hengki Kurniawan’s tough rivals. Not only does he come from the same electoral district, Denny is also “chasing” Hengki from a similar party, namely PDI Perjuangan.

Based on temporary real count data up to 11.09 WIB, the presenter of the “Dahsyat” program from 2008 to 2018 has received 16,893 votes or the second most after Hengki in the PDI Perjuangan.

9. Primus Justisio

This former senior actor who is a member of the DPR RI Commission VI is running again as a candidate for member of the DPR RI from the West Java electoral district V. Previously, Jihan Fahira’s husband had served as a member of the DPR RI since 2009.

Based on the temporary real count results, Primus Yustisio won the highest number of votes in PAN from the West Java V electoral district with a total of 57,072 votes. This data comes from 9,370 polling stations out of 15,288 or the equivalent of 61.53 percent data as of 11.12 WIB.

10. Verrel Bramasta

Homeland actor, Verrel Bramasta is a candidate for DPR RI members supported by PAN in the West Java VII electoral district which covers Bekasi, Karawang and Purwakarta regencies.

Based on the temporary KPU real count results, Verrel won the highest number of votes in PAN from the West Java VII electoral district with a total of 16,560 votes. This data comes from 6,304 of 18,000 polling stations or the equivalent of 35.02 percent of data as of 11.13 WIB.

11. Aldi Taher

This Indonesian actor, comedian and singer is a candidate for member of the DPR RI supported by the Perindo Party in the West Java electoral district VII. It is known that Aldi Taher attracted attention online after covering the song “Yellow” by Coldplay.

Based on the temporary KPU real count results, Aldi received the highest number of votes from the Perindo Party with a total of 16,542 votes as of 11.19 WIB.

12. Mulan Jameela

Mulan Jameela is an actress who has become famous since joining Duo Ratu. This member of Commission VII DPR RI is running again as a candidate for member of the DPR RI from the West Java electoral district XI. Based on the results real count Meanwhile, a figure who is a member of the Gerindra Party has won 43,493 votes or second place in the party from the West Java XI electoral district.

13. Siti KDI

Dangdut singer who graduated from the Indonesian Dangdut Contest (KDI), Siti Rahmawati is one of the Indonesian public figures who is competing for a seat in the DPR RI in the Central Java electoral district IX.

Joining PAN, Siti won the fourth most votes in the party with a temporary total of 3,406 votes. As of 11.22 WIB, the current real count data came from 6,755 of 11,738 polling stations or the equivalent of 57.55 percent of data.

14. Ahmad Dhani

The musician and frontman of the band Dewa 19, whose real name is Dhani Ahmad Prasetyo, is a candidate for member of the DPR RI who is supported by the Gerindra Party in the East Java I electoral district.

Based on the temporary KPU real count results, Ahmad Dhani was in second place as the Gerindra legislative candidate with the most votes, namely 42,385. This data comes from 7,833 of 13,733 polling stations or the equivalent of 57.04 percent of data as of 11.25 WIB.

15. Chef Arnold Poernomo

Chef and judge for the MasterChef Indonesia event, Arnold Poernomo, is one of Ahmad Dhani’s rivals in winning the most votes as a candidate for member of the DPR RI from the East Java I electoral district.

This chef, who is known to be quite humorous on social media, joined the Perindo Party and as of 11.27 WIB had won 2,628 votes. Chef Arnold is in fifth place as the winner of the most votes in the Perindo Party for the East Java I electoral district.

16. Kris Dayanti

The Indonesian singer, who is familiarly called KD, is a member of Commission IX of the DPR RI who is running again as a member of the DPR RI in the East Java electoral district V. To date, Kris Dayanti, who is a PDI Perjuangan cadre, has won 38,798 votes or the third position with the highest votes in party.

This data comes from 7,190 of 10,824 polling stations or the equivalent of 66.43 percent of data as of 11.29 WIB.
