Jakarta CNBC Indonesia – YouTube sends warnings via pop-up messages to those who use ad blocking applications. However, there are tricks by users who don’t want to pay for a Premium subscription to be ad-free.
According to reports from Wired, popular ad blocking apps like Ghostery and AdGuard are seeing record numbers of uninstalls. Most users cited YouTube rules as the reason.
This does not mean that users accept the ads served by YouTube or pay YouTube Premium to remove ads.
On the contrary, as noted by Android Authority and some reports on Reddit, people are looking for alternatives that might work.
Quote Mashablecurrently there is no truly free way that can guarantee an ad blocking app will work indefinitely.
One of the popular browser extensions called uBlock Origin seems to be the easiest and best alternative at the moment. Users claim that this extension works best on Firefox.
AdGuard’s paid service also works well. Because of this app, some people are switching browsers to Firefox or even Microsoft Edge just to find a way to watch YouTube videos ad-free.
On the one hand, YouTube will definitely continue to fight to get rid of alternative applications used by its viewers. So the choice is that users continue to look for ad blocking applications, or pay to subscribe to YouTube Premium.
